Battle of the Bands competition with Kinsale Christmas on Friday 13th of November.
A sleepy Friday night in November was shaken up by the exciting fundraising event of Battle of the Bands held in Hamlets Cafe Bar in Kinsale for Kinsale Christmas.
There were three diverse finalists, each with incredible talent, the ultimate winner was a five piece band from Cork called "Failing Earth" who are thrilled with the result as this was the first prize they had ever one.
The second prize went to a solo artist by the name of Sam Clague, from Clonakilty, whose skill on the guitar was mesmerising, with an obvious dedication to his craft.
Last but not least, the 3rd prize went to enthusiastic, youthful and talented 4 piece band called "President for A Day", who's exuberance was clear from the start!
The judges, who said they were delighted with the overall standard, they were Alan Coleman TD, Anthony Collins- The White Lady, Frances Dalton- Daltons Bar, Virgil Horgan Solicitor, Tony Lane from Kinsale, Peter O Keeffe- The White Lady, Declan Delaney -Blue Haven Collection.
The event was greatly supported by family and friends and fans alike.
General consensus is "Can't Wait For Next Year!"
