Kinsale Christmas 2009
Oh the weather outside is frightful! But what we have organised is truly delightful! With a lot of preplanning and a dedicated committee, the Kinsale Christmas festival is looking to create the best Christmas yet! The list of events are igniting all sorts of excitement for children and adults alike, with puppet shows, storytelling, meeting with Santa, colouring competitions, treasure hunts to name a few of the fabulous events lined up for this December. Kinsale Christmas will be launched in the Blue Haven Hotel on Friday 27th of December at 6pm with Michael Martin Minister for Enterprise Trade and Employment, who will open the festival and announce the winner of the Children’s Christmas colouring competition. The key to Kinsale Christmas is to bring business to Kinsale, from Cork and nearby towns, plus to also promote buying local initiative for local traders and to try and ensure the town’s businesses not only survive but hopefully thrive during the season.
