Art Competition 2009

Enter your A2 poster with a Christmas/Kinsale theme to qualify for a cash first prize or 2nd and 3rd place voucher prizes. New for 2009 the winning poster will be printed and used as the town’s official Kinsale Christmas poster.
The competition will run until Friday 23rd October 2009 and all entries should be handed in to reception at the Blue Haven Hotel between Friday 16th October 2009 and Friday 23rd October2009. As before all entries will be anonymous until opened at the prize giving ceremony. Entry forms which may be downloaded should be completed and placed in a SEALED envelope then stapled to the back top corner of your A2 poster. Only the age of the child should be written on the outside of the envelope.
- The top 30 entries will be posted to the website and if your poster is uploaded the competitor and their family is invited to the awards ceremony at The Blue Haven

- Prizes will be :
- 1st Prize : €250 cheque
- 2nd Prize : €50 voucher
- 3rd Prize : €25 voucher

The awards ceremony will be held on Friday November 27th 2009 at the official press launch at The Bluehaven Hotel which will be launched by Minister Michael Martin.

Battle of the Bands
The Judges for the Battle of the Bands competition have been announced:

Kinsale Christmas Rose
As part of the Kinsale Christmas Festival it is proposed to hold a Kinsale Christmas Rose beauty and costume design competition.
All businesses are urged to sponsor an employee, friend or relative to enter the competition. The competition will be judged by a distinguished panel with full press coverage.
This could be the start of a ‘supermodel’ career. The winning Rose will reign throughout the festival and be responsible for opening and attending a number of events.
The Judges for the Kinsale Christmas Rose competition have been announced:

Congratulations to Louise Broderick representing the White House Kinsale who was crowned 2009 Kinsale Christmas Rose at a ceremony held on the 9th December 2009

Window Display Competition
Local businesses dress there windows with festive themes. Winners will be announced on December 18th.
