2010 Art Competition
Enter your A2 poster with a Christmas/Kinsale theme to qualify for a cash first prize. The winning poster will be printed and used as the town’s official Kinsale Christmas Cards.
The competition will run until Friday 24th October 2010 and all entries should be handed in to reception at the Blue Haven Hotel between Thursday 21st October and Sunday 24th October 2010. As before all entries will be anonymous until opened at the prize giving ceremony.
Entry forms which may be Downloaded Here should be completed and placed in a SEALED envelope then stapled to the back top corner of your A2 poster.Only age and primary(4-11) or secondary(12-18) to be shown on the outside of the envelope. The top 30 entries will be posted to the website and if your poster is uploaded the competitor and their family is invited to the awards ceremony at The Blue Haven.
Prizes will be :
- 1st Prize for Primary and Secondary categories : €100 cheque and an Oil Canvas of the winning poster in each category.
Distinguished Artists and Authors Colin and Jacqui Hawkins (www.colinandjacquihawkins.com ) have again kindly offered to judge this year’s entries and sponsor the prize cheques for our winners

Kinsale Snow Queen
Wednesday 8th December 2010 7.30pm White Lady, Kinsale
This year the Kinsale Snow Queen competition will be managed and run in conjunction with the Community School as a business project for the transition year students. Students involved will design and create costumes and assist in the management and marketing of the event.
Tickets will be available at €10.00 for what promises to be a full night of fun and fashion with the festival team and school fully involved together to make the evening a success.
The Snow Queens competitors will all be students from the community school and the winning entrant will receive
- A Fifty Euro Voucher
- A Full Professional Portfolio Photo Shoot
- An inscribed presentation trophy to keep for the year
